The National Elevator Industry Educational Program is designed to educate apprentices for a four year period. During the four years, apprentices will work five days a week with a mechanic to get on the job training and go to class one night a week for four hours. Students will attend classes learning everything from safety to electrical where they can take the information they learned in the classroom and apply it in the field. After four years of successful completion of all classes are apprentices then eligible to study and take the mechanics exam.
Location: Our training center is centrally located at our main Union Hall at 47-24 27th Street Long Island City, NY 11101. This Union Hall is conveniently located near the 7-train, and the Long Island Expressway. Our second training center is at our smaller Union Hall at 340 Convery Boulevard Perth Amboy, NJ 08861.
